Outdoor Lighting That's Intelligent, Beautiful, and Built to Last.
Commercial grade LED lighting systems with smart controls, designed to showcase your landscape and improve safety after dark.
Light That Transforms Your Landscape
Great outdoor lighting does three things simultaneously: it makes your property safer, it makes your landscape more beautiful, and it extends the hours you can enjoy your outdoor spaces. In the Fraser Valley, where winter daylight fades by 4:30 PM, a well designed lighting system is the difference between a backyard you use only in summer and one you enjoy year round.
At Trueform, we design outdoor lighting systems as an integral part of the landscape, not an afterthought. Every lighting plan starts with a site walk at dusk where we identify the key features to illuminate, the paths and stairs that need safety lighting, the areas where security lighting adds value, and the zones where ambient lighting creates atmosphere. The goal is layered lighting that combines multiple fixture types to create depth, drama, and functionality.
We install commercial grade low voltage LED systems that consume a fraction of the energy of traditional lighting while lasting 50,000 hours or more. Low voltage systems operate at 12 volts, which means no electrical permits are required, fixtures can be safely installed in wet locations, and the entire system runs from a single transformer that connects to a standard outdoor outlet. Smart controllers allow scheduling, dimming, and remote control through a smartphone app.
Fixture types include path lights for walkways and garden borders, uplights for trees and architectural features, step lights for staircases and retaining walls, deck and patio lights for entertaining areas, well lights for flush mount applications, and flood lights for security and large area illumination. We select fixtures from professional grade manufacturers that offer solid brass or cast aluminum housings, sealed waterproof connections, and replaceable LED modules.
Our lighting installations include proper wire management with direct burial cable, waterproof splice connections at every fixture, adequate transformer sizing for the total fixture load, and a smart controller configured to your preferences. We also plan for future additions by sizing the transformer and wiring to accommodate additional fixtures as your landscape evolves.

What to Expect
Outdoor lighting costs depend on the number of fixtures and system complexity. Individual path lights cost $200 to $400 installed. Uplights and accent lights range from $250 to $500 each. A typical residential lighting package with 12 to 20 fixtures, transformer, and smart controller runs $4,000 to $10,000. Larger systems with 30 or more fixtures range from $10,000 to $20,000.
Frequently Asked Questions
A typical residential lighting system with 12 to 20 fixtures costs $4,000 to $10,000 installed, including transformer and smart controller. Individual fixture costs range from $200 to $500 installed. We provide a detailed estimate based on your specific lighting plan.
Yes. Modern LED landscape fixtures produce focused, high quality light that equals or exceeds traditional halogen fixtures at a fraction of the energy consumption. LED technology has advanced significantly, with fixtures available in a range of brightness levels and beam angles.
Low voltage landscape lighting (12V) does not require electrical permits in the Fraser Valley. The systems run from a transformer that plugs into a standard outdoor outlet. If a new outdoor outlet is needed, that portion requires a licensed electrician and may require a permit.
LED modules are rated for 50,000 hours or more of operation, which translates to approximately 15 to 20 years at typical usage. Many fixtures have replaceable LED modules, so the fixture housing lasts decades while modules can be upgraded as technology improves.
Yes. We install smart controllers that connect to your home Wi-Fi and are managed through a smartphone app. You can set schedules, adjust brightness, create zones, and control lights remotely. Sunrise and sunset automation adjusts schedules throughout the year.
