Irrigation Systems

Automated Irrigation That Keeps Everything Alive.

Complete drip and sprinkler systems with smart controllers, rain sensors, and zone specific programming for Fraser Valley landscapes.

Water Smarter, Not Harder

The Fraser Valley has a paradox: months of excessive rain followed by summer dry spells that stress lawns, gardens, and newly planted landscapes. An automated irrigation system solves this by delivering the right amount of water to the right zones at the right times, regardless of whether you remember to turn on the hose. For new plantings especially, consistent watering during establishment is the single biggest factor in survival and long term health.

At Trueform, irrigation design starts with a zone map of your property. We identify areas with different water requirements: lawns need more water applied less frequently, garden beds need moderate water with drip delivery, newly planted trees need deep soaking, and established native plantings may need no supplemental water at all. Each zone gets its own valve and spray heads or drip emitters matched to its specific needs.

We install systems from Hunter and Rain Bird, the two industry leading manufacturers for residential irrigation. Both offer a full range of spray heads, rotor heads, drip emitters, and valves backed by extensive warranties. Pipe is schedule 40 PVC for mainlines and poly pipe for lateral runs. All connections are solvent welded or compression fitted for leak free performance.

Smart controllers are standard on every system we install. These Wi-Fi enabled controllers connect to local weather data and automatically adjust watering schedules based on temperature, rainfall, humidity, and wind. Rain sensors provide a hardware backup that shuts the system down during rain events. The result is a system that waters only when needed, saving 30 to 50 percent compared to a timer based system.

Every installation includes complete system testing with coverage checks at each zone, pressure regulation to prevent misting and overspray, and a full walkthrough showing you how to use the controller app. We also provide winterization service each fall to blow out the lines and prevent freeze damage, and startup service each spring to test the system and adjust heads after any winter settling.

Hunter Pro-Spray

Fixed spray heads with matched precipitation nozzles. Ideal for small to medium lawn areas and garden beds.

Rain Bird Rotor

Gear driven rotor heads for large lawn areas. Adjustable arc and radius for precise coverage.

Drip Emitters

Low flow emitters for garden beds, trees, and shrubs. Delivers water directly to root zones with minimal waste.

Smart Controllers

Wi-Fi enabled controllers from Hunter (Hydrawise) and Rain Bird that auto adjust based on weather data.

What to Expect

Irrigation system costs in the Fraser Valley range from $3,000 to $8,000 for a typical residential property, depending on the number of zones, system complexity, and property size. A basic 4 zone system for a standard lot costs approximately $3,500 to $5,000. Larger properties with 8 or more zones, extensive drip systems, and smart controllers range from $6,000 to $12,000. Annual winterization and spring startup services are available.

Frequently Asked Questions

The number of zones depends on your property size and the diversity of plantings. A typical Fraser Valley residential property needs 4 to 8 zones: separate zones for front lawn, back lawn, garden beds, and any drip areas. Each zone should not exceed the available water pressure and flow rate.

Yes. Although Fraser Valley winters are mild, temperatures below -5C can freeze water in pipes and crack fittings. We blow out all irrigation lines with compressed air each fall and inspect the system each spring for any winter damage.

A properly designed system with smart controllers uses 30 to 50 percent less water than manual watering. Smart controllers adjust daily based on weather, eliminating overwatering. A typical residential system uses 1,000 to 2,000 gallons per week during peak summer.

Yes. We can install irrigation in established landscapes with minimal disruption. We use a vibratory plow or manual trenching to route pipes under existing lawn and through garden beds with minimal surface disturbance.

Residential irrigation systems cost $3,000 to $8,000 for typical properties. A 4 zone system runs about $3,500 to $5,000. Larger properties with 8+ zones cost $6,000 to $12,000. Contact us for a quote.
